The Visiting

I went to 3 houses today, for Raya. Good good...better than nothing at all. At least I managed to don my altered purple kebaya just now. My mom is thrilled to see Superhero, as usual. He was from work, so no "baju" for him. Suliana came to my place first & she chatted happily with my mom too.

We were supposed to go purple this year but obviously, he has other colours in mind...

I'm so happy to meet Hidayah! She lives nearby but I only see her once a year. She's my classmate for Sec. 3 & 4 & she was so crazy for Nick Carter from Backstreet Boys. I miss those days when we gossiped about our "famous" form teacher. Haha!

The last house: Masturah's! Suliana's daughter, Rina is ever full of antics. She's like a doll...just a slightly mischievious one. Hehe..

Masturah looks the same all these years. The 3 of us were in the school's band & even though we were in different Express classes, we remained close throughout. I must say, my sec. school days are the best memories! Worry about studies, gossip with the girls, look at cute boys... I'm not exactly a rebellious student but I had those moments of dyeing my hair, keeping long fingernails, school's skirt being too short & piercing more than a pair of ear holes! Haha..best lar!





The love of my life: Superhero! Of all the guys I know, I bet he's the one my folks & Suliana most pleased with! :) I went to his place just now. Hmmm...his mom looks scary. As in fierce kinda scary. I wish myself all the best of luck. I'm a nice girl though. Hehe~

Hari Raya

The Hari Raya is not as splendid this year. My shifts screwed BIG time. Governor is going against me! Purposely plot me night & afternoon shift till next week! I couldn't even find the time to visit my close relatives, let alone my friends. I'm just so pissed with the whole situation. Wait till I get back at him! Argggh!

Anyway, I didn't get to go out on the first day. My relatives came over instead coz my grandmom is celebrating Raya at my place, the first time in many years. Thank God I didn't have to work.

Me & Izza. She's my cousin's daughter so that makes me her...auntie?? I ask her to call me "Kak Ain" though. Haha...I'm still young worr.... :)

This is at Obek Edot's place. I begged my mom to come along coz that's the only time I'm available to do visiting this week!

Ayos & I always take pictures together every Raya. It's like...a tradition. Haha! He's my closest cousin! We used to fight a lot when we were kids but I seldom see him now coz both of us are busy busy. (P/s: I hope we can make our trip to Australia happen!)

I went to watch The Departed with Superhero just now. I forgot how gorgeous Leonardo Dicaprio can be! Used to have a huge crush on him back in sec school, to the point of wrapping my textbooks with his pictures! My purse also had a small picture of him & his posters were on my cupboard..including the walls! Gosh..those were the days, man. I think the crush is coming back... Hehe. I'm in love again....with Mr. Leo. Aahh~

Simple Pleasures

I tell you, I just discovered the most delicious Ramly burger! It started when I had a craving for the burger earlier this week. Since there's a pasar malam nearby, I decided to buy one from the stall. As usual, there are many stalls that sell Ramly burger but there's a particular one which has a long queue. Now, Ramly burger is just a beef or chicken patty that is supposedly originate from Malaysia. It can be easily found in pasar malams these days because of the demand. So, for a simple burger stall to have QUEUES compared to the rest....hmmm....must be special! I bought a beef burger for iftar yesterday. And gosh, indeed it's the best Ramly burger by far! The beef patty was fried just nice, loads of mayo, black pepper sauce & there's a a slice of chesse too! When I got home, I added more cheese to make it more ooommph! With every bite I took, the sauces & the cheese just oozes out! Sighs....it's fattening but I couldn't care less. I love good food!

I was surfing the Net the other day & felt like doing online shopping at...Victoria Secret's! Very tempted to buy their undergarments & the frangrances. Anyway, I requested to have a catalogue sent to my home so that I can make a final decision before indulging! Hehe...


Superhero is "hibernating" at home with his assigments the past 2 days. Pity him... So me, being the nice & sweet girl, gave him a surprise by buying slices of cakes from Rive Gauche Patisserie. I personally deliver the cakes to him worr! Superhero was green with envy when I bought the cakes for myself last week. It's my turn to be jealous today... :(

Guanaja (somewhat chocolate mousse & Ferrero Rocher flavour) & Oreo Crunch cheesecake.

I just saw my ex-colleague's profile on Friendster & was shocked by the picture above. It was taken back in 2002, when I was doing my attachment at the Conrad. 4 yrs ago! Tsk tsk tsk...nostalgic. Haha!

My Friends & I!

Governor was nice enough to give me 2 days off this week. The other 1 off day is a substitute for my Deepavali Public Holiday actually. Anyway, I need the time to help my sis with the kuih-making for Hari Raya. So might as well be away from work! Suliana sent me a message to "chop" for either one of these 2 days. She wants to break fast together. As I had no plans today, I dropped by her place...with Superhero joining me much later. :) Ordered Canadian Pizza & Suliana's friend, Nur, fried chicken nuggets for us! We watched Siti Nurhaliza's vcd too. Shiok!

The bright orange wall helps a lot! Just like in studio, Superhero said. Hmmm...what a day to take pictures. I didn't put on make-up & I just wore T-Shirt & bermudas! Suliana too!

This neoprint was taken back in 2001, before she got married! Gosh... we looked so studious then! I think we both look better now.. Haha. I've known her since 1996 & that's like 10 years already! She's someone who knows what I'm thinking or feeling without me having to tell her. The power of a best friend. :)

Like I said in my previous entry, I visited Fizah's new place last Saturday. Hassan was sweet to buy we girls chicken rice for buka. It was from those stalls that pack their rice in a cardboard kinda box. Yummy! So classic~

Fizah's new abode is so comfy! Not that my home is not comfy enough larr, but I wanna have my own place too! Can't wait for that! Hehe~

Down With Boredom Syndrome

My legs are aching..I drag my feet when I walk. Must be from all that standing on my heels for more than 8 hrs at work. Comtemplating to save money to get ISqueeze..but I wanna go holiday! Liah, Nick & myself planning to go to Genting & KL next month. Honestly, I don't really like Genting. I'm not into those rides. But oh well, for the company & the fact that I need a short getaway badly....I'll just go ahead with the trip. Pray hard that the Governor will approve my leave.

I came across a blog by this Malay girl last week. She writes simply & I enjoy reading her blog coz there are many pics! I envy her life though. Seems quite well-to-do, everything is going good for her & she has a great hubby too! I told Superhero about it & we agree to work harder towards our goals! :)

I haven't been doing much these days. I was working night shift the past 6 days. That explains why I'm lazy to blog. I did some highlights on my hair yesterday. Cost me $130!!! Superhero was shocked of course, not by the colour but the price! Haha..But if it makes me look and feel good, then why not? The money is from my own pocket anyway. Hmmm...what should I do later? It's my off day! Maybe going to the all new Vivo City or drop by Geylang with Superhero. I don't think I'm buying any new baju for the upcoming Hari Raya. I altered my 4-years-ago purple kebaya for a whooping $52! So I told Superhero, we must go purple this year!

I'm looking forward to tomorrow. Maria & I shall visit Fizah's new abode! I dream to have my own place one day too...hehe.

Free & Easy

It's my day off today. Friends are working & Superhero got his project to do. I guess I'm used to spending my day off by myself. I woke up at 1.30 pm & made an appointment to visit Dr Tan at 3.30 pm. I complained to him that I have some pimples popping out at the side of my face. He did a round of laser & finally, IPL! I guess I was too anxious during the session. The nurse told me to relax but I just couldn't! I jumped whenever the light flashes. Haha...the nurse even joked that if I frown too much (I was closing my eyes very tightly), I have to worry about wrinkles the next time. :)

Then, I realise I forgot to get something at Mustafa Centre the other time. So, since I'm so free, I decided to drop by Mustafa again just now. I've been searching for this item online & major stores around town but I found it at Mustafa instead! Even my mom's massage oil, which is hardly sold in pharmacies, can be found in Mustafa. I'm greatly impressed! I think I'll shop there often now...Hehe.

Sadness Is In the Air

I watched an Indonesian movie with Suliana yesterday. It's called "Heart". It's about 2 friends, Rachel & Farell who have been buddies since they were very young. Farell fell in love with a girl he met, Luna, & told Rachel about it. Suddenly, Rachel realises that she loves Farell but she can't express her feelings because she doesn't want to destroy Farell's happiness. Unfortunately, Luna is dying due to an illness. Rachel got involved in an accident & her legs have to be amputated. As what normally is the ending for these kinda shows, I expect that Rachel will die (somehow) & donate her liver to save Luna's life. And that really happens. It's a typical love story but the soundtracks are very good. The cast crew acted very well too.

Being in love, in a relationship can be very engaging yet heartbreaking. What I feel towards the person, may not be likewise for me. If you ask about my present feelings, my answer is that I am sad. Very sad. Because someone said something that really broke my heart. I don't know what to do.

Ramadhan -The Test of My Patience

The fasting month has started again. It's time for me to shed some weight to fit into my kebaya (hopefully!), strive to be a better person & do good deeds. Sighs...speaking of good deeds, I just bitched at the NTUC aunty just now. In the first place, I never like shoping for groceries at NTUC. It's always full of people (kiasu ones of course!) & the queue is bloody long & slow. Anyway, my sis wanted to buy some stuff to break fast so I just tagged along. I felt like eating tortilla chips dipped with salsa sauce. We searched row by row for instant salsa sauce but couldn't seem to find. Hmm...NTUC don't carry salsa sauce?! Unbelievable..but oh well, my sis decided to ask one of the NTUC aunties. She was like busy doing her job (arranging ketchup bottles on the rack) & when my sis asked, without even looking at us or thinking for a second, she replied a flat NO! I got pissed by her reaction & I just said to my sister loudly: "I don't think she know what's a salsa sauce!". Now, the aunty SURE has heard me because she turned to us, repeats nicely that NTUC does not carry that item. Her tone was much better this time but too bad..I was starting to pull my sister away. I know...it's just NTUC, not Giordano or MacDonald's & I had worse encounter of bad service (Eg. the Birkenstock store at Wheelock) but come to think of it, it's really a test of my patience on my first day of fasting! Looks like I expect too much of a supermarket.

Anyway, that's about the unavailable salsa sauce. There were long queues on every counter, so we had no choice but to endure with the crowd. The couple in front of us bought loads of potato chips & it's really 1 trolley of chips! They can open a chips-only store at home! Then, while we were still waiting for our seemed to be like forever turn to pay, this uncle behind us just shouted over to the cashier & asked how much is a packet of Pringles. I was like...hello, can't you wait for your turn?! We are all in the queue! Goodness, that uncle must have been inspired to get chips as well from the couple in front! Sighs....now you know why I don't like NTUC.



I saw Hershey's coated mashmallow with strawberry filling! Can't resist from buying a packet. Then, since I couldn't get my salsa sauce, forget about tortilla chips! Instead, I bought Kettle's Spicy Thai. The colour of both look so striking..hehe~ THAT I like. :)

Forbidden City : Potrait Of An Empress

So what did I bought to surprise Superhero??? It's tickets to watch Forbidden City at the Esplanade! :) Superhero is surprised & he's touched. Aww....Hehe. We had dinner at Anatolia Turkish Cafe & proceed to City Hall to get my daily shot of Starbucks. Then it's off to Esplanade!
So so many people! Ah, it's a Saturday, after all. Hmmm~

My ticket & the brouchures! I wanted to get the $80 seats but it was sold out...Sheesh. I make do with the $60 ones...

Yay! We enjoyed the show & we are happy! The music is fantastic (it's by Dick Lee, you know!) and the set & costume design is like wow.... I didn't regret going for the musical though I am broke, STILL! Tsk...and guess what, I got 5 days off, till Wednesday! Bloody hell! I have no money, it's the fasting month & I've got no one to go out with! This is so terrible. Looks like I will need to borrow Nickole's vcds, visit the library or catch up on my beauty sleep. What a waste of my off days! Arggghhh!

Broke!

I spent A LOT this month...I'm so broke that I have to touch my savings for my supposedly Australia trip. Hehe...but I still go for my massage yesterday & I bought something just now to surprise Superhero this weekend. It's been some time since I got off on Saturdays & Superhero scored full marks for his assignment. Maybe we shall go for a mini celebration...or rather, a date. Hmmm....I wish I can tell you what I bought but nah...we all shall wait till this weekend, ok?

If all goes well, the Muslims will start to fast on Sunday. Time for me to lose weight too! Time really flies...it's gonna be Hari Raya again, then Christmas & New Year! Remember the gruesome days I went through as a group co-ordinator? That happened the week after last year's Hari Raya! Gosh...I better start reviewing my goals that I set for myself this year. Before I knew it, I have to do another set soon!

Hady & Jon got intol Final 2! Yay! Tough choice...which one shall I vote? :)

Hit By IMF!

I think I haven't update my blog for almost 2 weeks. Been very busy, or rather, too tired from work. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) event has finally hit Singapore..& I'm so stressed from work that I haven't got the mood to talk about it here. Anyway, i just can't wait for this event to be over.

I managed to meet a few of my friends for dinner last week. Sighs...I owe them lotsa dinners. Haha..my shift always clash with the outings. I still haven't get to meet some of my poly gals & my good internet friend, Naz for some time. Hmm....soon, I hope. :)

I'm broke....what shall I do? Let me pray....Superhero, Superhero, get rich soon!!! Hehe~

My New Ipen!

Like I mentioned previously, I only got to meet Superhero yesterday. We watched the movie "The Devil Wears Prada" at Causeway Point. Sadly, I wasn't feeling well. I went to the doctor after the movie. Anyway, I enjoyed the movie. I love the clothes that Anne Hathaway put on! Gosh...too bad we can't wear those in a climate like Singapore. After the movie & a visit to Raffles Medical, Superhero & I went to have dinner at MOS Burger. Not much appetite..but I had to eat something before popping in the medicine. Superhero then passed me a box...& I saw the Osim logo. He gave me Ipen!! I'm sooo touched. :)






There's a card too! Yeah..work is getting stressful. Pimples are growing & my body is aching. But I'm glad I have my Superhero with me. Thank you for everything! :)

No Life

Joakim is finally out!!! Yay! The moment I heard the news from Superhero, I was so happy that I almost fell off my seat in the train. I celebrate, not by popping a bottle of champagne, but by getting myself a venti size Ice Vanilla Latte from Starbucks! Haha! Although, Jozkim was in the competition for too long & he deserves to be out waaay much earlier, I'm glad he's not in Top 3. There's justice after all. :) I hope Hady wins...HADY MIRZA! I SUPPORT YOU!!!! Oh my god...that's so not me. Haha.

Anyway, I've been busy these few days. Not that I have soooo much things to do but I just don't have the time. It's really sleep & work only. I'm surprised I have time to go for suppers still. Superhero has been busy as well. He has to work & study....assignments & projects. We hardly spend time together. Even if we do, it's just having a meal or him sending me to work. Sighs...I miss my Superhero. :( Gonna meet him for a movie this Sunday. I can't wait!!!

Oh Mustafa...

This is unbelievable but I just came back from Mustafa Centre! Yes..it's that 24-hrs shopping mall down at Little India. Initially, me & Sue just thought of having supper at Newton. We haven't been to the newly renovated Newton Circus food centre so we decided to have a look. Sue ordered lotsa food, namely: sambal stingray, cockles, kailan & satay! And it's just the 2 of us...Sue is a HUGE eater for your info. :) I didn't really like the cockles though. Sue has a craving for them and she likes half-cooked ones. I didn't dare to eat too much of the bloody cockles....Haha!

After the heavy supper, I was just saying out of nowhere that maybe it'd be cool to go shopping in the wee hours. Sue was surprisingly enthusiastic about that idea & we thought of the only shopping centre that is open: Mustafa Centre! We head down & shop for...instant noodle, tidbits..groceries. There were quite a number of people for a 3am on Wednesday morning. I saw a family with their kids AND the strollers (Can't they let the kids sleep at home?!), a mom & her teenage daughter (And I wonder if it's the school holidays yet again) & some tourists. It's really like a Sunday afternoon at Jason's. Sue & I had fun going row by row of snacks...amazed by the neat stacks of tidbit & "unique" packaging of some food stuff. We must have gone crazy due to work stress...that we have to shop at 3am! Hmmm...I changed my mind a bit about Mustafa Centre though. For the better, of course. And I'll consider shopping again at 3am. :) The last time I did that was a few years back in Seoul.

Anyway, it's time for me to accompany my bed. My feet are sore from all the walking & standing. I'm doing night shift later..so I can have ample sleep! Finally!

Supper Duper!

I just came back like 20 mins ago...yes, at about 3.15 am! My colleagues & I worked fast to finish on time coz we plan to go out for supper. Wanted to go to MakanSutra at Gluttons Bay but it was packed with people. In the end, David suggested that we took a cab back to Bt Batok (where he stays) & then, he'd drove us to wherever we wanna go. We also picked Daniel up from his home at Redhill to join us before we made our way to....Jalan Kayu! The journey was fun..it's like we were having a late night drive, complaining about how work sucks & joking merrily. It's my first time eating prata at Jalan Kayu so I was rather excited. We had:

Sadiq: 1 banana prata & 1 cheese prata, with Milo Dinosaur
David: 3 cheese prata, 1 Teh Tarik
Daniel: 1 cheese prata & 1 egg prata, Teh-Cino
Myself: 1 banana prata & 1 cheese prata, with Milo Dinosaur

I had a craving for Milo Dinosaur, which is just a large glass of iced milo, with lotsa Milo powder on top. I was so bloated from the supper. Nice to drive across the expressway & Seletar Reservoir. Still crowded even at the wee hours...Hmmm~

Bad News

I looked at the sms that Superhero has sent me. And I stared in disbelief. Mathilda is out from S'pore Idol???!! What's happening?! Oh my god...How can those people be so blind..or rather...deaf? Can't they hear the good comments she got from the judges & listen how powerful her voice is? Just because she didn't get enough votes, so she's out?! Goodness...what about Mr Gomez himself? Week after week, he got the worst comments from the judges. To top it all, I bet he can't even sing a lullaby properly. Indeed, he has the looks & like what Ken said, Mr Gomez is marketable. But S'pore Idol is a SINGING competition.

If he can't sing, why must we vote for him?
Coz he's cute? Hmmm...there are thousands of cuter guys out there. Hady & Jon are cute & they sing.
Coz he's nice? Well...ALL of the contestants LOOK nice.
Coz he's popular? Then we can consider him on Cleo's Top 50 Bachelor issue or the next season of Moulmein High.

To the little girls, uncles & aunties out there: I don't hate Mr Gomez but please, I beg you, for the sake of mankind, listen...& you'll know whether Mr Gomez can be a singer or just a stage performer. Sighs...I wonder...is Singapore Idol really a singing contest? If it is...why is Mathilda booted out?

Monday Blues

I think I'm having one of those days whereby i just feel like "hibernating" & not doing anything. Absolutely nothing. Work begin to suck again, especially when the Governor is around, & the Dowager is starting to show favoritism (yet again). This is bad but I really need a break, soon! Either that, or..I better find a hobby. Besides the usual shopping & spa-ing. Sighs...

Superhero's Belated Birthday Dinner

Superhero celebrated his 24th birthday on 6th Aug & unfortunately, I was only free to treat him to dinner yesterday. I managed to pass him his present on the birthday itself. (Phew~) I guess he's wondering what to shop for at his fav place. :)

We went to catch the movie The Lake House. Gosh...it was a sweet & touching one. Hehe..Superhero was like saying it's a happy ending kinda movie & yet, I still cried. Sandra Bullock & Keanu Reeves have great on-screen chemistry. The plot is a bit duh but hmm...still touching. I just drop my common sense outside the cinema for 2 hours. :)



Superhero wants to go to Ikea to get pillows (insisted that he HAD to get pillows!) before we head down to Holland Village. I chose to bring him to Hog's Breath Cafe for some steaks...




The service is good & the ambience is there...I feel like I'm in Texas! Haha..I'm waiting for my mocktail & my prime ribs....




There you go! Natural Prime Ribs they call it. The fries are yummy & the steak is juicy. I got heavier by 300g after the dinner. So much for wanting to lose weight. :) I don't like the logo of the cafe though... tsk tsk tsk~

Going French

I suddenly feel like having French manicure & pedicure after my night shift today. So I dropped by Watson's to try the DIY French nails. The ones from Sally Hansen's look rather promising..I got one that comes with a set of: 1 bottle of top & base coat, 1 nourishing nail colour (which is a nude-like colour) & a French manicure pen! The "pen" looks & works like your regular liquid paper. But as I'm not used to it, I didn't really do a good job on my nails. Kinda distorted...sighs.

Currently, my work place has this in-house stay programme for the staff. So, it'll be my turn to stay tomorrow! I got the company of my kakis: Nickole, Liah & Tanglin. We gonna have free dinner & breakfast at the Oscar's, watch movies in the room & just hang out. Sounds exciting... :)

I'm treating Superhero to dinner this Saturday for his belated birthday. Hhmmm...where shall I take him???

High Sugar Intake Alert!

I met Tini for dinner after my shift today. She's such a bubbly gal. She's younger than me by 2 years but she talks like she's older than me. We have lotsa things in common & she can be so hilarious with her antics. Haha! I feel sad that she has left the company but I'm glad that she's much more cheerful now. :) We walked around NTUC, fishing for something to buy (my pay is in!). Went to the frozen stuff area and guess what I found?! My favourite Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavour! I was half hoping they won't have it coz that will mean that I'm not "fated" to buy. Tini kept looking at other ice-cream tubs happily. So...in the end...... Hehe~




I love the Oatmeal Cookie Chunk flavour coz it's kinda different from your regular chocolate or strawberry ice-cream. It has the cinnamon taste that lingers & of course, the chewy oatmeal & delicious fudge! (Now I sound like the spokesperson for Ben & Jerry's) Superhero & Nickole said that it taste weird but...well, nothing can change my "feelings". I'm beginning to take a liking to cinnamon-ny stuff, for e.g. Starbucks's Cinnamon Raisin bagel & they used to have an ice blended cinnamon syrup drink. (Which I forgot the name!)




Joy for the BELLY & SOUL. Soul..yes..I agree. I feel like I'm relieved of stress after having just a spoonful of the ice-cream. But for the BELLY??!! Definitely NO!!! Maybe they should mix some Xando tummy slimming powder into that tub! :)


There's this new American food joint at Citylink Mall, called New York New York. I went with Nickole & Sue 2 days ago. Decor was superb. Hmmm...food was oohh-kay & service was allll-right...Nothing out of the ordinary. The food reminds me a bit of Billy Bombers+ NYDC. A nice place to hang out with your bunch of friends (Must be a BUNCH if you want that comfortable sofa seats), & come earlier if you don't wanna queue till the Godiva shop. And try the hot chocolate drink with mashmellows. Yummy yum!

I'm getting the vibes of becoming a gourmet. Hmmm~

Sweet Sins

It's the 3rd day in a week that I committed sins. What sins I'm talking about? You see...

Tuesday: A scoop of Ben & Jerry's Oatmeal Chunk ice cream

Wednesday: Durian roll (A durian-filled crepe, basically)

Thursday: A slice of Dark Chocolate Truffle from The Royals

Gosh.. and one of my goals this year is to shed some pounds! Blame the food festival at Lot 1 & the huge pasar malam beside it larr. Tsk, tsk, tsk... :)

Singapore Idol getting more interesting. When will Joakim be out? I can't wait!! Sighs...Will it be tonight? I hope so..

Bimbo!!! (And She Was Me)

It was my first day of the cross exposure as an Assistant Manager. The day was ok, busy as usual. The "mistake" that I did last week has been resolved BUT my manager said that the guests may complain about me. Heck...I wasn't rude to them. It was just a miscommunication. If they want to complain, then I have nothing else to say. It's their words against mine. I just have to be extra careful next time. I'm not gonna apologize coz it wasn't my fault. Anyway, I felt that today was also one of those days that I got kinda dumb. One of the guest was trying her luck to dispute her charges with me & she "slapped" me with sarcastic remarks about the Hotel's procedures. I was so shocked that I didn't know what to say. I just replied, on & on but in the end, she told me, "I don't understand what you're saying". I turned to my colleague & whispered, "Neither do I". Haha..I was really like a bimbo. Duh~

I got my dose of Ben & Jerry, finally! Had a scoop of the Oatmeal Cinnammon Chunk & ate it happily by myself. I was satisfied & hmmmm...all the troubles seem so far away. Met Superhero after that & he sent me home. :) I like that.

Hope tomorrow will be a better day. *cross fingers*

BIG Mistake

I did something wrong at work! This is so crappy. I thought I was being kind but seems to turn out that I was being dumb. Arrgghh!! I just hope & pray that everything will be all right. If not, then..I shall wish myself the best of luck. :(

The Things I Want To Have & Those I Had~

I finally got back my computer! Not that anyone borrowed it, just that my CPU wasn't working properly. As I wasn't free the last 1 1/2 weeks, I couldn't find the right time to call the vendor. I'm excited now that it's back to good working condition, without jeopardizing my stuff IN the computer. Phew~


I spent my off day at home today. Wanted to go for coffee with Kartini but she wasn't free. Thought of going shopping but pay isn't in yet. In the end, I rented "Rumours Has It" & watched it again with my sis at the living room. I'm just so lazy these days....Anyway, I plan to buy my Papillio sandals next month! Haha..at least I'm trying to SAVE for it. Hmmm, let me think which one should I get...

I've been craving for Ben & Jerry! Nickole told me to get a tub when we went grocery shopping last week but I didn't. Sheesh...my favourite flavour is like out of stock at the NTUC. Maybe I'll get a scoop before work tomorrow at the Suntec outlet. Hehe~ My sis bought a cup of bubble tea & I got one too!

My peppermint milk tea looks express & delicious but hygenic? Hmmm..

I love the Godiva Chocolixir! I've been walking past the Godiva shop at CityLink, wondering when I can savour that drink & I finally had the chance the other day after dinner with Nickole & Liah. There are 3 flavours & we chose to try the Dark Chocolate Decadence. Lovely & heavenly!


I'll be cross training as an Assistant Manager next week, for 3 months. I can feel the stress coming back again, the same one that I had earlier this year. Can more Godiva drinks help me overcome the hurdle??? But then, I don't wanna stress over my weight too! Haha~ We'll see.

Mid-Week

I love Papillio sandals, especially the Florida range! And I noticed that the Madrid ones are nice too. Sheesh..I'm crazy over Pappllio! Should I buy them?? I'm the only one in my family that own lotsa footwear. My mom threatened to give them away if I don't start wearing them. Haha!

Met my friends for dinner before my night shift just now. It's so hard to meet up these days coz we are always so busy with work or studies. :( I'm just glad we can still keep in touch till now.

Spoke with Superhero on the phone & I got a little sensitive with the whole conversation. Didn't have a very good ending. I feel bad after that, but still sad. It's just..me, I guess.

2 Years With 2 Days

I just came back from my "getaway", Singaporean style. It's like to celebrate my 2-year anniversary with Superhero. Spent 2 days with him & had dinner with our friends on one of the days. We are trying to introduce Superhero's buddy, Ben to Sue. Something like double dating. It turned out okay....for a beginning. Haha!

We had buffet dinner at Oscar's. Seafood was great, but dessert even better! Look at my banana & strawberry filled crepe, with caramel & chocolate ice cream. The mashmellows compliment it all. Yummy!

It's Tini's last day at work & she happened to have dinner at Oscar's too. Honestly, WE looked like the ones on double dates. See how the boys are dressed sooo green & we girls in sooo black. Hehe~

My gift to Superhero: Daviddoff Echo set. He doesn't put on any cologne but I guess it doesn't hurt to use once a while. Glad he likes it. :)

Let me tell you briefly how we met. I was working for a while at John Little as a sales promoter after my O' Levels in 2000. He was covering his cousin duties (also a temp promoter) for a day. We talked a bit & coincidentally, his course mate was my friend too. We lost in touch & then somehow, we met again online. It's funny that I haven't met or talk him for almost 2 years & then suddenly, we are communicating again. It's fate I guess. We were friends for 4 years before being together. :)

Hmmm, tomorrow marks the end of my leave. Monday will be back at work. My ex-colleague, Sammi, is flying to Australia for further studies. I maybe sending her off. If not, I'll just laze around at home. Shall decide later. :)

A Day @ Sentosa~

I got 5 days leave, including my off day till this Sunday! Gosh, I'm envied by my colleagues who have to work during this period. Hehe..but then again, I have no plans to go overseas whatsoever, so I thought hard to make full use of my 5 off days. I went to Sentosa with my colleagues today, shopping & running errands for myself tomorrow, spend Fri & Sat with Superhero (it's for our anniversary!) & Sunday is for my family. Hmmm..sounds splendid enough. :)

My buddies at work: Sue & Sadiq. Sue just ended her night shift & Sadiq & me were on leave! So..we made our way to Sentosa. :) (I heard that it'll be busy at work place though. Hehe~)

Scorching hot!!!! But great weather...

Sue was trying to sleep & tan at the same time. Quite successful though...

We walked around a bit while Sadiq & Tanglin took a dip. Sighs...how we wish we were at Maldives instead...

They looked like some illegal immigrants! Sadiq & Tanglin had to squat for a bit coz they were dripping with water lar...

My arms & back are aching now from all the sunning today. Hmm..I'll be visiting my dermatologist tomorrow (he gonna flip when he sees my red face!) , gonna buy some stuff & maybe go for a massage. Cool! :)

Superhero was at my place just now to check on my internet connection. Apparently, I couldn't log in to MSN Messenger or even download songs properly. He did some tests & ..voila! My computer problems are solved! It's good to have someone who knows a lot about things which I don't. :) Thanks a gazillion, Superhero!

Updates & Updates

I'm sorry I haven't been blogging the past 1 week or so...I hardly have the time. Daily, it's like work, sleep, eat & work again. I try to watch as much tv though, so I can feel that I have a life. I don't even have time to remove my nail polish so I brought the liquid remover to work! How ja-gung. :)

I went to Aloha chalet with my cousins the other day..So fun! I didn't stay overnight of course. Took a few pics..will upload later. When I'm free. :) My cousins were talking about boyfriends (for God's sake, they're only teenagers!) & they were attacking me with questions about Superhero. Sighs..kids these days~

I gonna spend next weekend with Superhero. Most probably we gonna watch World Cup matches. How exciting! Our 2-yr anniversarry coming up. Any idea what should I give him? Hmmm...

"Murder" On The Dance Floor

I went to M.O.S again yesterday with my colleagues & I got in for free! It was R&B night at the main arena & thank God, it was cooling. Not so packed like the last time I went. Met 2 of my friends who work at Starbucks too. Dancing was great till there were these 2 kids who kept going our way. Me and my colleagues moved to the other side a bit, & they followed too!Frustrating! I wonder if they need the whole dance floor or what..

Then we went to Spice at River Valley to have our supper/breakfast. We were starving! I had a Milo Dinosaur, which is just a glass of milo with lotsa milo powder on top of it. Yummy...& I had Roti John with Chicken & Cheese. The food was okay(especially when you're hungry), very spicy though. That's why the coffee shop is called Spice. Haha.. There's a wide variety of food, good enough to satisfy our after-clubbing hunger.

I reached home at about 6am & my dad glared at me from the kitchen. I just smiled sheepishly & excuse myself quickly..Better run if I can't hide...Hehe~






Fizah's wedding turned out great! Nice to meet up with my ex-classmates that I haven't seen for so long. Some since graduation 3 years back. And Fizah looked beautiful..:) May you have everlasting bliss!

Finally!

Fizah is getting married later today! I'm soooo excited! Geez, I'll get to see my poly mates after such a long time. Lotsa catching up to do. Too bad Superhero may not be able to attend the wedding. He has some family gathering to go to. Shucks...and I miss him so badly. :( I only get to see him once a week now coz we are busy with our work. Wait till he starts his part-time Degree.. Sighs..

What should I wear to the wedding later?? Should I wear my kebaya? Can I do my hair at the salon too? Hehe...
