"Welcome Back"

For better or for worse, I returned to my previous work place today. My colleagues were happy to see me as much as I'm happy to see them. One or two made stupid comments & I just bitched at them back. Who are those buggers to say things about me when they themselves are not very far either?! At least, I know I have good working record..& I'll work even harder to prove to myself, colleagues & bosses that I really thought about it before making the decision to return. And of course..along came the "invisible bond" that I mustn't leave the company for a period of time...

I got the same locker again, which is good coz most of my "kakis" are around the same area too. Just that my old uniform has been taken by a newcomer! I have to wait for a new batch to be ordered (which I don't know when?!) & in the meantime, I'll be wearing trainee's uniform! I don't like THAT coz it hinders my movement & will show my bulging stomach if I eat too much. It's a dress by the way. Sighs...I guess I just have to wait lorr...

Other than that, first day was alright. I encountered worse. :)

Bad Blisters

In the first place, I don't exactly like wearing shoes. I prefer sandals or slip-ons (like my Birkenstocks!) anytime, anywhere. But when I went out with Superhero yesterday, I felt like wearing my pink shoes. Normally, when I wear that shoes, I'll have blisters on my feet but I thought of just giving it a try again. By the time I walked to the MRT station, my feet already have blisters despite the plasters I put on! Went to Guardian to buy a special blister plaster. Cost me $10 for 5 strips! Goodness!

I couldn't sleep properly last night coz the blister hurts badly! When I went to the toilet just now, I screamed the moment my feet touched the water. So painful worr.... I had to put on the plaster again. Immediately..the pain stopped! Aahh..the blister plaster is a saviour indeed! No more shoes for me..temporary. :(

I got in touch with a long lost friend! Knew him a few years back but we haven't spoke to each other for almost 2 years! He has a unique interest of collecting those scary looking dolls, called Living Dead Dolls. And he has these piercings on his tongue lar, eyebrow lar..but still looks cool! Haha..he's working around the same area as me. Hmm..guess we can do some catching up over coffee one of these days..

It's a brand new week tomorrow...& I'll start with a new vision at work too. Wish me luck. :)

No Money, No Talk~

I trimmed my hair today..& changed the style a bit. I wanna grow long hair but I don't wanna do the bunning. Unfortunately, my work place's rules are similiar to a school's. No over-coloured hair, only 1 pair of earrings allowed, long hair must be tied neatly.. My hair stylist is shocked when I tell her that..haha~

It's a Saturday tomorrow. Me & Superhero are very, very broke. Not sure what we gonna do..had enough of watching movies, period. Hmmm..maybe go to the beach? Escape theme park? Or just go somewhere to chill out & "makan".. Anyway, he scared the hell out of me yesterday. He fell asleep while his tv & comp was still on. Somehow, I tried calling him on his mobile but couldn't get through. He only received my messages this morning. It's either his UGLY phone or the LAME server, which I rather not name here to protect the innocence. Hehe~

Fizah is getting married in June!!! She's sending me the invites & I'm happy for her. Gosh..time flies... So when's my turn??? Hehe..not anytime soon. We talked about it casually & we see that it maybe like..in 5-6 years? In the mean time, I shall save money (that's the hardest thing to do!) & enjoy being unmarried! :)

Home Sweet Home..

It's Monday! Been a long long time since I spent a Monday at home, free & easy. Oh well..this week is indeed a slacking one for me before I get back to work next week. What's on my itinerary? Hmm..catch up on my sleep, make my tummy grow bigger (though I hate it!), eat home-cooked food (coz I'm very broke!), watch tv like there's no tomorrow & "chatting" with my mom or rather..me listening to her nagging...

I slept very late last night, almost at 4am. I was reading a book. A love story but kinda crappy. I went to library to get some stuff to read after lunch today. When I get back to work, there'll be hardly time for myself anyway. I followed my sis to the supermarket to get household items..she knows her way round the supermarket more than I do! My mom said that this is the time for me to learn cooking...oh well~

Sue and I plan to go on a trip sometime end of this year!! That thought gets me really excited AND motivated! We thought of Cairns..or Brisbane..or.. Anyway, I better start saving soon!

Can't wait for the Progress Package money to come in..I think I keyed in the wrong account number so..the money will be credited later than 1st May. Shucks...

Batam Retreat!

Surprise..surprise..me and my 2 girlfriends, Fizah & Maria went on a day trip to Batam. It was to celebrate Maria's so belated birthday. Fizah's getting married soon & we have yet to go on a trip together! So, even though it's just to Batam & we only had 1 day, we decided to just make full use of it. Had so much fun..the company was great! Who says 3 is a crowd? Not always... :)

Maria is always entertaining us with her antics. The 3 of us updated one another of our lives in the ferry that took us to Batam Centre..

We planned to venture to the nearby area..but it was raining! So, we spent the WHOLE DAY at the shopping mall just opposite the ferry terminal. If you wanna go to this Mega Mall Batam, do bring a sweater. Aircon is like FREE in there..

They have these so-called animal rides that children can take round the shopping mall. One service staff will hold on to the side while a child ride the "animal". Gosh..the sheep makes the most irritating noise!!!

Wanted to go for massage, but couldn't find anything good at the shopping mall. Maria spotted this nail parlour coz it looks posh, yet interesting. It's called "Miss Lazy". Indeed..we felt lazy & so at home..

Fizah & me treat Maria to her ever first manicure & pedicure! She was so excited. The 3 of us had Dark Chocolate Paraffin Wax for our feet ...The smell of the chocolate is soooo yummy!!

The lady boss herself did the manicure for Maria. She's friendly and talked about the decor of her shop. She said it's "half Da Vinci & half Laura Ashley". She played sentimental love songs on the stereo & the 3 of us almost fell asleep..Shiok shiok..

Fizah reading a magazine while waiting for her feet to be rubbed off by dark chocolate wax...Lotsa LV bags in the shop too. Apparently, lady boss travels a lot & bring these branded bags back home to sell...

Couldn't decide on the colours..so in the end, all of us got the same SQ like colour on our toe nails..

We saw A & W and couldn't resist the curly fries!! Bought them for take-aways & went to this cosy cafe called ChocNutz to have a drink. (Couldn't stand the thought that chocolate were only rubbed on our feet earlier!) Their chocolate drinks are delicious!

We also took away the ice-cream waffle...

And Maria insisted on buying another ice-cream waffle cone..

I didn't had enough of the chocolate drink so..I bought this bottle tea while waiting for the ferry back to Singapore. The tea is thirst-quenching & the bottle looks cute! Wanted to buy 1 more for Superhero but I was told that there will be additional charges for the bottle. Forget it larr..

Hmmm..by the way, I have made another decision. Will make some calls later in the day. Let me cross my fingers..

The Turmoil In My Head, Heart & Mind~

The past few days has really got me into deep thinking & feelings. I wanted to leave my previous job so much but I wasn't happy that I left. I started on my new job barely a day & I didn't enjoy it as well. So, I called it quits. I'm a worry-wart & I tend to get my feelings involved most of the time. Sometimes, I believe that, if I'm happy..then everything else doesn't matter. I don't like changes, everybody don't like changes. But why must I be the one changing..why can't circumstances change for me??

I think I need a kit-kat...

The Eventful Early Morning~

I went to M.O.S. with my now ex-colleagues last night. Cool..there was no queue to enter but it was quite packed inside. It's a Friday night so what can I expect..

It was to celebrate Sadiq's birthday as well. Suelyn already promised to buy him 2 powerful drinks..drinks to make him remember his 24th birthday. He drank the first one, called Graveyard so fast...as if he's drinking Coke. After all that dancing & about 30 mins later, he was still fine. Then came the second drink.. the Waterfall! Hmm..he was still ok, although he looked quite "high" already. But when he & Jason went to the toilet, he didn't came back! Jason looked for him like 3 times round the club but to no avail. Nickole called his mobile but unable to reach him too. Gosh...where's the birthday kid??? I told Jason to try looking at the toilet again & each cubicle, coz he might have gone flat. Sighs..indeed he did.

Poor Nickole & me had to bring him home coz we live around the same area. We girls looked thru his HUGE but very empty bag & couldn't find his IC & house keys. Haha..we made Sadiq repeat his address so that we know where we heading to.

Finally...we reached his block. Thank God he could walk.. so me & Nickole didn't have to hold him. I carried his HUGE bag while Nick stood by in case he fell on his knees. Along his corridor, he could even say.."My jeans are dropping". Me & Nick laughed & shook our heads.. before he told us to "Ssshhhh.." with his finger across the lips. Then..he's home sweet home..Lucky.

Sighs..mission accomplished.. Nickole & me waited to take the first bus home...

The Last Day at Work

Busy Supper..

I just came back from supper with my colleagues. Had nasi lemak from this famous stall at Boon Lay. Kartini had to wait for me & Farah for 2 hours coz we were busy at work today. Anyway, let's talk about THE nasi lemak. There was a long queue, & a couple of guys in front of us ordered like extra rice for the nasi lemak. Gosh..was it THAT good? So, when I finally got to taste it..hmm..nice! The rice taste a bit like chicken rice but the fragrance was like wow..The sambal is sweet, spicy & yet, addictive. The fried chicken that I took taste great as well. The uncle at the stall even joked with me.."Take whatever you want & express your feelings for the food. If you're scared of getting fat, excercise on Sunday". Hahaha..

On top of that, it was my last day at work too. Very very sad, but I didn't cry. My colleagues were nice...they bought me a silver bracelet( which I like very much!) & a silver earrings to go along. I bought thank-you cards for them & placed it in their in-tray. I took pics with them & when I got back home & looked at the pics..we do look like young school girls! I think I'll print out the pics & place it somewhere in my room. :)

Will be clubbing with them this Friday night. Yippee!!

It Only Just Begun

Well, apparently, I'm NOT the only one resigning. There are a few others, who, have already tendered way before me. It's scary..or should I say pure coincidence that few of my colleagues are leaving around the same time. Either that, they are cross-training to other departments. I guess we are getting sick of the same job, same crap & yet, more to come.

My colleague hugged me just now, as she's going on leave and won't see me till my last day of work. She started crying & being me, I cried too. The rest of them started to cry when realised that one of our bosses is also leaving. In fact, it was his last day today! He gave a little "speech" & we all just slumped in our seats. Touched & ...sad. But we have to move on...no matter how tough it may be. I feel the pain of leaving my colleagues even before it's my last day. I'll miss them... :(

I'm looking forward to my weekend though. Going shopping for new clothes, run errands, meet Superhero & hanging out with my best friend. Try not to think about next week larr...

Star Gazing & Starbucks Coffee~

I was working night shift last weekend, & Superhero took me out for dinner before my shift. Thought of going to the Singapore Fashion Festival but it's only for invites. Orchard Rd was super duper packed as usual. We were tired of walking, so we made our way to Millenia Walk for some coffee.

It was a wonderful evening indeed. Superhero had his Caramel Frap while I had Iced Caramel Machiatto. Together, we sat outdoor & tuned in to my Nano. I entertained Superhero with my antics & I moved my body occassionally to the songs. Haha..the simple thing in life~ Watching the stars (saw a bit despite being blocked by tall buildings), drinking cofffee, good conversation & my fav songs to add!

I got a new job somewhere, somehow. So I'll be leaving my current job next week! I hope eveything will turn out okay. A bit worried but then again, if I don't try, I'll never know. Superhero is VERY happy for me, as if he's the one getting a new job. I'm sad to leave my colleagues though... :(

Again..I pray for a better tomorrow~

Gloomy Wednesday

Work was fairly alright, everyday is like the same to me (Work wise I mean). I received a sms from someone during my lunch break & I became speechless after I read it. I stared into space for awhile at my locker area coz I didn't know what to do or what to think. I felt like crying though.

When I got back up to office, my colleagues asked why I seemed to be in a dreamy mode. A guest actually approached for a request & I couldn't answer him properly. I just wanted my shift to end quickly.

You know...I'm sad & dissapointed. Don't ask me why or what happened. I guess I need to find myself first... :(

Super Supper

It's 3.45 am on Monday morning. I just came back from supper with my colleagues at Lau Pa Sat. Actually, I'm very broke this month, but I still join them for supper coz I don't wanna be the wet blanket. Everyone worked hard today. Typical Sunday, with lotsa arrivals. We worked fast though, but stayed back a bit to help the midnighters as there were only 2 staff working for the night shift. It was almost midnight that we left to head for supper.

We ordered satay for sharing & the rest of my colleagues had spaghetti, fried rice etc. I didn't eat so much coz I was afraid that I'll have nightmares when I get home to sleep. Hehe..(Bad experience before). Anyway, all of us sat till around 2.30am, gossiping & laughing merrily. Farah, Frankie & Daniel were drinking beer, & poor Daniel had a hard time finishing his glass. We "grilled" him with questions about his social life & I guess..that got him nervous. Tsk tsk tsk..

Oh well...nice to hang out after work in the wee hours SOMETIMES. This is what we call..de-stressing. :)

Bright, Bright Tuesday!

It's very rare that I update my blog twice in 1 day but well, this is MY blog. So..I shall update it when I feel like doing it. Hehe...

Went to my skin doctor for my facial extraction today. Oh gosh, he used laser and some kinda tool to take out the clomodones (that's what he calls) or blackheads from my face. It's not that painful but the session made my hair stand! Everytime I hear the sound of the laser machine & felt that my skin squeezed tightly, it's quite scary. But if I want to look good, must willing to endure!

Met Superhero for a movie. We watched "Rumours Has It" & the movie is funny, sweet & a bit emotional. One of the best movies I watched this year. Jennifer Aniston is beautifully crappy & the movie has some parts that make me cry. Yes, I cried..& Superhero smiled. He knew I would cry. Thanks for the tissues though. :)

Brought Superhero to Tambuah Mas for some Indonesian food for dinner. He was shocked to see a big fried fish (it wasn't big at all for me). I figured..either he eats lotsa rice or he hardly see fish. Hehehe~

Sleepless Again In The Morning

I couldn't sleep again! It's my off day today & I'm awake since 7am already..Kept tossing & turning but still couldnt get back to dreamland. My feet is aching from all the standing at my work place & I'm getting hungry too. So, I decided to order breakfast from MacDonalds.

Me : Hi..I would like to order breakfast.

MacD : Sure, your phone no. please?

Me : ******** (I told her my home no.)

MacD : Just a moment, just a moment, can you repeat again?

Me : ********

MacD : Just a second, Ma'am. (She put the call on hold)

MacD : Sorry Ma'am, my system hanged. Can I have your no. again?

Me (Slowly) : Oh ok... It's *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

So, I ordered for myself, my mom, sis & maid too.

MacD : Sorry again Ma'am, we don't serve hotcakes because the machine is spoilt.

Me (Astonished) : You mean the entire Singapore has no hotcakes??!!!

MacD: No Ma'am, only your area don't serve hotcakes right now.

Me (Still astonished) : Nevermind, I'll get something else then.

MacD : Oh sorry Ma'am, it's actually not the hotcakes. They just ran out of maple syrup.

Me : Ok..it doesn't matter. I'll still get the hotcakes then.

MacD : Sorry again Ma'am.

I should have just walked to the malay stall & buy breakfast myself...

Sunday Morning ~ Out Of The Ordinary

I just finished my round of night shift yesterday. The last night was a hellish one. My colleague pissed me off BIG time & I couldn't wait for the night to end. It was very busy too so..it was definitely not a good night.

Anyway, I woke up extremely early today. It was 5am! I couldn't sleep anymore because I was doing night shifts few days before. I heard my dad getting ready to go to the market. (Yes, my dad's the one who goes to market every Sunday). He asked if I wanna come along, so I was like.."Why not?". He took me to the market which is near our old place. It's VERY VERY rare for me to follow him to the market. So rare that he said he's not surprised if the fish "might jump to the plastic bag itself". Haha...

Gosh..I'm getting all the deja vu feeling. Lotsa things have changed.. I saw my sec. sch. & I miss those days when me & my classmates would go out for lunch & then came back again for remedial lessons. My dad even asked me if I remember the path around my sch. that I ran for my fitness test. It's been 10 good years since I was in Sec. 1. Maybe I should pay the sch. a visit one of these days...

Let's sidetrack a bit..I had a weird dream last night. I remember that it was a sad one..concerning my love life. Till now, when I think about it, my heart aches. Hmmm~

Handphone Is New!

Well, someone from Nokia Care Centre called to say that my handphone is "beyond repair". I couldn't believe my ears at first & thought that it sound funny. But anyways..I have no choice but..to get a new handphone! Actually, I'm VERY broke, especially after my shopping trip in Thailand. I have no choice though, coz I need a phone badly.

So, just before my night shift, I dropped by Nokia shop to get my old phone back & buy a new one. The guy at Nokia shop willing to buy my useless phone for $30. It's better than bringing the phone back & keeping it for my grandchildren. Haha.. Let's talk about my new one. It's Nokia 7360. It's kinda "fashionable" & chic..so different for me. I wanted the N70 but my budget is super tight this month. Superhero said that I don't need such a high end phone. Should have ask him to sponsor me a bit. If I look good with my new handphone, he'll be proud of me too. :)
